The invention relates to the equipment of a barge (1) loaded with bulk material, usually in batches, and used for coastal and river navigation with means which allow a rapid transfer of the material into an ocean-going ship (2). The equipment according to the invention with means is to make the tranfer process quicker and therefore more efficient. There is provided on the barge (1) the permanent arrangement of a gantry (5) which is displaceable over the loading hatches and on the top side of which rests, likewise permanently, a reversibly drivable carrier truck, on which is articulated a multi-part steep conveyor (7), the end member of which is designed as a receiving region (7.3) and is provided with a centrifugal-wheel trimming unit (7.4) connected in front. The steep conveyor discharges onto a scraper conveyor (8) which leads into a first discharge head carried by a column (9) and which discharges the material via a first telescopic tube (11) onto a band conveyor (13). The band conveyor is carried in a horizontal or a rising plane by a pivotable jib (14) and discharges onto the ocean-going ship via a second discharge head (12) and a second telescopic tube (15).
