There is a drive-rod, with at least one locking element, which slides in a C-shaped guide groove in a covering plate, on a window or door. The groove has two edges bent round towards the centre plane of the drive-rod gear or lock. The plate has transversal cutouts over part of its length. These displace the effective radius of curvature to the plate's external surface. As a result, the drive-rod guide groove and plate are adaptable to a curve, or corner, on the window or door.
