The present invention relates to a topical dermatological composition for the treatment of acne, based on a lipid fraction extracted from Serenoa repens fruits. The composition according to the invention is characterised in that it contains as active ingredient 10 to 60% by weight, preferably 20 to 50% by weight of a lipid fraction of Serenoa repens fruits, as well as a carrier which ensures the penetration and stability of the active ingredient on the skin.
