Neutralising of effluents. The plant for making use of the process is characterised in that it comprises: - a vessel 1 for confining a neutralised aqueous mixture, provided with an overflow spillway 2 and a drainage pipe 3; - a circulation pump 4 connected to the pipe 3 and leading to the entry of an injection apparatus 5 connected to a source of carbon dioxide gas under pressure 6; - a circulating and homogenising circuit 7 between the injection apparatus and a mixer 8, at least partly immersed in the aqueous mixture of the vessel; - and an effluent circulation circuit 13 ending at the mixer.
