The invention relates to a tubular section, whose cross-section has an overall rounded shape; this section comprises a stiffening core 5, and a peripheral wall 4 of overall rounded shape, made as a single piece with the core 5. This peripheral wall 4 is provided, on either side of the core 5, with four lines 6 of reduced resistance delimiting two strips 7 which can be cut out and are capable of being withdrawn so as to define two rabbets 8 on each side of the core 5.
