PURPOSE: To enable formation of a coating film having the same performance as a fluoroplastic film, with ease and excellent operability, by transferring thermally a transfer layer in a semi-crosslinked state prepared by adding thermosetting resin in a specified amount to fluoroplastic powder. CONSTITUTION: A transfer layer 61 of a transfer leaf for a fluoroplastic film which is put in a semi-crosslinked state by adding thermosetting resin of 10-300 pts.wt. to fluoroplastic powder of 100 pts.wt. is brought into contact with a material 7 to be subjected to transfer and it is heated and pressed by pushing a hot plate 8 against it from the direction of a support film 62. The transfer layer 61 of a heated part is transferred onto the material 7, while a part not being heated and pressed is left on the support film 62. By controlling the part being heated and pressed, a coating 9 of fluoroplastic properties in a desired shape can be formed easily. By applying heat treatment to the coating 9 until the thermosetting resin is crosslinked completely, the coating exerts the same performance as the fluoroplastic film.
