MODULE STRUCTURE OF CAR AND APPLICATION TO AUTOMATIC ASSEMBLY OF CAR

PURPOSE: To facilitate an automatic assembly by forming a front module receiving an engine and its accessories, a central module and a rear module and by joining these modules constituting a compartment. CONSTITUTION: A front module 10 constitutes a part of a vehicle and is constituted by a support structure receiving stress or force produced by the running or the impact of the vehicle and a support structure receiving an engine and a partial assembly of its accessories. A central module 20 is constituted by two deformable members 21 protecting a compartment from all changes by absorbing a large impact. A rear module 30 is formed by a horizontal J-shaped side member 31 extending in the direction of length. These modules are combined in a final assembly line to constitute a vehicle body.
