ANTIVIRAL NEO-ANTIGEN-ANTIBODY AS ANTIVIRAL DRUG AND ANTI-IDIOTYPE ANTIBODY DERIVED THEREFROM

PURPOSE: To obtain an effective antiviral medicine containing an antibody specific to viral neoantigen which is a conformation-dependent epitope, being minimum in adverse effect in a host animal and capable of inducing inactivation of virus. CONSTITUTION: This antiviral medicine contains an antigen specific to virus neoantigen which is a conformation-dependent epitope expressed on a virus protein when virus has substantially lowered ability infecting to a sensitive cell or the virus is uninfectious and not existing or incapable of approaching when the virus is infectious. Effective amount of the antibody is administered in a proper diluent and immune response of the host animal to the virus is enhanced. Immune response of the host animal can be enhanced also by administration of anti-ideotype antibody composition specific to the antibody and competitively inhibiting binding of the antibody to viral neoantigen.
