PURPOSE:To simplify attaching and to improve reliability, by forming a unitary body with a liquid crystal display element and a current collecting plate to constitute the main body of a display device. CONSTITUTION:A display part 15 including a liquid crystal display element 18 and a current collecting plate 13 are formed a unitary body to constitute a main body 19 of a display device. The current collecting plate 13 comprises a material having elasticity and conductivity and also serves as the attaching tool of the display part 15. The element 18 is housed in a display case 15a having a display window 15b in said display part 15. An electrode terminal 11 of the element 18 is connected to the current collecting plate 13 through a screw terminal 11a. An electrode terminal 12 of the element 18 is connected to a socket terminal 12a. Since only one current collecting plate 13 is attached to the display main body 19, the current collecting plate 13 is not erroneously attached. Since the current collecting plate 13 also serves as the attaching tool of the display part 15 and forms a unitary body together with the main body 19, attachment is simple, reliability is improved and the cost can be reduced.
