OPTIMUM FLIGHT GUIDE FOR AIRCRAFT IN SHEAR OF WIND

PURPOSE: To ensure safe flight by conducting guiding control for a pilot or an automatic pilot device so as to optimize composite flight path and maximize the flight time and flight distance of an airplane when it meets wind shear. CONSTITUTION: When wind shear is detected by a detection device 20, an integrator 22 is operated through an inverter 35, and the vertical change rate 21 of the wind is taken as the magnitude of the vertical wind, the incremental flight path angle 31 is obtained by the vertical wind shear together with airspeed VT through a limiter 26, and is added to a desired flight path angle 40. An actual flight path angle 44 is calculated from the signals of a vertical gyro 69 and an angle of incidence sensing device 70, a gain meeting a difference 53 between the angle of incidence of a stick shaker and an actual angle of incidence is multiplied with a variation 54 at a variable gain part 55, so as to control an automatic pilot device and an elevator servo 62, and a pitch pointer 67 is indicated at a flight director device 66. It is thus possible to ensure safe flight by optimizing the composite flight path and maximizing the flight time and flight distance.
