CUTTING TOOL FOR WORK MADE OF LONG-FIBER MATERIAL

PURPOSE: To cut a workpiece made of a long-fiber material perpendicularly and prevent a trail of the fiber material into a cut edge range by forming the cutting edge of a displaceable blade as a face forming an acute angle to its displaceable face and arranging the displaceable face so that it intersects the cutting edge of an opposite blade at an acute angle at a cutting position. CONSTITUTION: A cutting tool 3 for cutting a workpiece consisting of a polyurethane foam layer 1 and a long-fiber material layer 2 has a fixed opposite blade 4 defined by the edge of a roughly plane molded tool rest 5. The cutting edge of a blade 6 displaceable to the molded tool rest 5 is formed as a face forming an acute angle to its displaceable face of the blade 6. The displaceable face is arranged to intersect the cutting edge of the fixed opposite blade 4 at a workpiece cutting position. The cutting edge of the blade 6 thus formed enables a perpendicular workpiece cut with this pair of blades 4 and 6 with no trail of the long-fiber material 2 into a cut edge region.
