ABBREVIATED DIAL NUMBER REFERENCE CALL SERVICE

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for the storage of a substantial telephone number by using an abbreviation dial registered by each person for its own telephone set and dialing the number to a destination from a telephone set except its own telephone set. CONSTITUTION:Suppose that a possessor of a telephone set 2 uses a telephone set 1 and makes a call to a telephone set 3. Since the number of the telephone set 3 is registered dial the abbreviated dial number of the telephone set 2, the caller applies the following operation. That is, the number of the telephone set 2 and the abbreviated dial number of the telephone set 3 registered in the telephone set 2 is dialed succeedingly. Thus, a central controller 20 outputs the telephone number of the telephone set 2 referencing the abbreviation dial number, the abbreviation dial number and the telephone number of a request telephone set 1. The main storage device 30 upon the receipt of the numbers calls the number of the telephone set 3 corresponding to the abbreviated telephone number of the telephone set 2. The controller 20 recognizes the number of the destination telephone set 3 to apply conventional call connection control to the telephone set 3.
