PURPOSE:To improve the sensitivity, the shelf-life and the sharpness of the title material by incorporating a yellow coupler which shifts the absorption max. wavelength of a coloring matter to a short wavelength side before being released, together with a benzoyl acetoanilide type yellow coupler in the sensitive material. CONSTITUTION:The coupler is incorporated in at least one layer of a silver halide emulsion layer contg. in the sensitive material, and the coupler binds with the coloring matter capable of being released by allowing to react with the oxidant of an aromatic primary amine color developing main agent or its precursor at the active position of the reaction, directly or through a timing group. The yellow coupler which shifts the absorption max. wavelength of a released coloring matter or the color matter formed from the precursor of the released color matter to the short wavelength side before being released, and the benzoyl acetoanilide type yellow coupler are incorporated in the sensitive material. The color sensitive material having high sensitivity, excellent sharpness, remarkably less deterioration of sensitivity and color developability even in the preserving with age, is obtd.
