HORIZONTAL OPPOSED TYPE SIMULTANEOUS IGNITION ENGINE AND NON-OPPOSED TYPE ENGINE

PURPOSE:To eliminate the conventional crank shaft and to make it in a low vibration by fixing an elliptic cam to an output shaft and providing the transmission member sliding to the outer periphery of the elliptical cam on the two pistons fitted in a combustion chamber arranged in opposition to both sides of this cam. CONSTITUTION:An elliptic cam 16 is fixed by fitting to the output shaft 14 freely rotatably supported at the center of a cylinder main body 12. Combustion chambers 32a, 32b are formed so as to oppose in the horizontal direction by interposing this elliptical cam 16. Transmission members 44a, 44b are integrally assembled to the respective piston 42a, 42b freely slidably fitted to each combus tion chamber 32a, 32b to cooperate with the elliptic cam 16. Namely the trans mission ember 44a(similarly 44b as well) is opposed of the disk part 46a fixed to the piston 42a lower part and the bar part 48a orthogonally extending to the disk part 46a from the center of the lower face thereof and the ball 50a held freely turnably by a pair of claws 52a at the bar part 48a lower end is made to abut to the elliptic cam 16 outer periphery.
