SILVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL HAVING IMPROVED FILM CHARACTERISTICS AND COVERING POWER

PURPOSE:To improve the film characteristics such as the flaw-resisting property, and the covering power of the titled material by satisfying a specified condition in the titled material, and by incorporating an aqueous polyester in at least one layer of photographic constituting layers. CONSTITUTION:The titled material comprises the photographic constituting layer only composed of one layer of the silver halide emulsion layer mounted on one side of a supporting body, and said material satisfies the formula Ag/Gel1.1, and at least one layer of the photographic constituting layers contains the aqueous polyester. In the formula, Ag is the total amount of silver halide converted into the weight of a metallic silver, in the side of the silver halide emulsion layer mounted on the supporting body, and Gel is the total weight of gelatin in the side of the silver halide emulsion layer mounted on the supporting body. Thus, the film characteristics such as the flaw-resisting property and the covering power of the titled material are improved.
