PURPOSE: To facilitate the manufacture of a tape strip which is printed with a postal charge stamp and can be stuck on a packaged postal matter by providing a single process station to weigh an envelope and stick the postal charge stamp. CONSTITUTION: A tape module 17 can be installed in order to attach a stamp on one of a tape 203 or 205 supported by the tape module 17. At the time of intention to attach the stamp on the tape 205, a platen driving motor 97 need only be operated. In succession to stamping, a tape driving motor 163 cuts and discharges the stamp part of the tape 205 by a cutter module. In order to attach the stamp on the tape 203, the tape 205 is pulled out to a reverse direction by the tape driving motor 163 so that the tape 203 is exposed to a meter recording area, and the stamping is executed similarly to the tape 205 except for an above-mentioned process. Thus, the tape which can be stuck on the packaged postal matter and is printed with the postal charge stamp can be easily manufactured.
