HEATING TOILET SEAT PREVENTING EXTREME RISING IN TEMPERATURE

PURPOSE: To eliminate a circuit for a thermoprotector to eliminate limitations on the design of a heating toilet seat and to reduce cost by providing an excessive temperature rise preventing function such that a PTC material part molded from a material with a positive temperature resistance coefficient, whose base material is a thermoplastic resin, and a heating part are covered with an insulative thermoplastic resin. CONSTITUTION: In a surface heating type toilet seat, a PTC material part 4, molded from a thermoplastic resin with a positive temperature resistance coefficient, comprising an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and a conductive filler, and a heating part 3 that broadens horizontally with no step to the PTC material part 4 are molded and covered using an insulative thermoplastic resin at the center of the front of the toilet seat 1. The PTC material part 4 has a characteristic such that its specific resistance rises sharply at 60 to 70 deg.C, so that if the temperature of the thermoplastic resin surface heating element in which carbon or metal monofilaments are mixed has been elevated excessively, the PTC material part 4 stops electricity, thus preventing the excess temperature. Also, the need for a thermal protector is eliminated by the use of the PTC material part 4, and also the heating toilet seat 1 can be designed to be thinner.
