PURPOSE:To manufacture a natural-looking and soft-feeling painted object by forming a coloring paint using a medium mainly composed of an organic solvent having a special solubility into a patterned coat with a special thickness, then building up another patterned coat of water coloring paint of different color which corresponds to the former patterned coat while it is undried and drying the latter patterned coat. CONSTITUTION:A coloring paint using a medium mainly composed of an organic solvent having more than 20wt% (at 20 deg.C) of water solubility is used to form a patterned coat 2 of less than 100mum wet thickness on a base 1 through printing such as gravure or flexographic printing. Next, a water coloring paint is printed through a silk screen correspondingly to a patterned coat, that is, on a patterned coat while the patterned coat is undried, thus building up another patterned coat 3. The appropriate coat thickness is approx. 100-500mum in terms of wet coat thickness. In this way, the external view is stereoscopic and further the coloring paint containing an organic solvent in the lower layer oozes out into the surface of the built-up patterned coat to form a multicolor pattern. This multicolor pattern formation is later dried into a finished coat.
