PURPOSE:To measure the coercive force of a vertically magnetized film by measuring voltage variation or current variation generated between electrodes by current magnetic effect when a current is supplied into a magnetic substance from an electrode provided to the magnetic substance and a magnetic field is applied to the magnetic body. CONSTITUTION:An external magnetic field 6 exceeding the coercive force is applied in an easy magnetization direction to uniformize the magnetism in one direction. In a magnetism inversion area, the voltage generated at the voltage terminal 8 varies because of abnormal magneto-resistance effect. Consequently, the coercive force of the vertically magnetized film is easily measured in a high magnetic field.
