TRUNNION STRUCTURE OF DRAG ARM IN DRAG-SUCTION DREDGER

PURPOSE:To reduce the resistance of the hull of a dredger by providing a pump side suction pile housed in a notch near the draft line in parallel and horizontally to the hull and also hanger arm of drag arm turning around a rotary shaft on the extended line of the suction pipe. CONSTITUTION:The trunnion struction of a drag arm 21 consists of a pump side suction pipe 23 housed in a notch 22d near the draft line in parallel and horizontal to the hull 22b, an L-shaped connection pipe 28 connected through a swivel joint 27 with the pipe 23, a drag arm 21 connected through a swivel joint 29 with the pipe 28, a hanger arm 25 turning around a rotary shaft 30 provided on the extended line of the pipe 23, and a wire rope 24 connected to a winch through the sheaves 31-34 of the hanger arm 25 and connected to the drag arm 21. By winding up the winch, the drag arm 21 can be housed in a two-hot line state.
