DREDGER FOR DRAG-SUCTION TYPE DREDGING SHIP

PURPOSE:To effectively perform dredging operations by a method in which soil on the bottom in water is sucked up by a suction pump, the dredging operation is made by turning a cutter by rollers, and the uneven surface of the bottom is smoothened by a leveling plate. CONSTITUTION:A drag head 9 provided on one end of a drag arm 1 is landed on the bottom 8 in water and dragged, and the soil of the bottom 8 is excavated by a cutter 14 by turning a dredging roller 13 by a driving mechanism 16 and pushed toward the drag head 9 side. A suction pump 7 is operated and the soil is sucked through the inside of the arm 1 from the suction port 10 of the head 9 into the hull 3 for housing. The uneven surface of the bottom 8 is smoothened by a leveling plate 11 provided on the inner surface of the head 9. The leveling of the bottom 8 under water can thus be performed while continuing the dredging operation.
