External fixator (1) for maxilo dento-facial surgery comprising at least one rod (2) having a deformable portion (4) of constant section and rectilinear axis, one element (5) spacer, such as a lip spreader which is attached to the remote end of the stem part (4) substantially perpendicularly to the axis (8) of that part (4) rod, at least one movable element (9) associated with the part (4 ) to be freely slidable along the latter, wherein there is an aperture (13) of axis substantially parallel to the axis (8), intended to allow passage of a tool (14) trepanning del'os, and means (15 ') provided on the element (9) to immobilize it relative to the part (4) rod.
