Substrate selective ink deposition method - directing has stream of ink at substrate and changing droplets to deflect them onto substrate

The method forms a stream of ink directed at the substrate. The stream is vibrated so that the stream is sepd. into a continuous filament upstream and droplets breaking away from the filament downstream, which are changed. The droplets are deflected depending on the change w.r.t. to the substrate. Charging and deflection takes place selectively in harmony with delayed conversions of pressure pulses from a pressure signal. The pressure pulse transfer is delayed by the desired amount whose dispersal is equal to a whole number times the stimulating vibration period. The dispersal is equal to the period and the min. delay is zero.
