1. A method of dyeing textile fibres on a jigger, wherein the required amount of dyestuff is divided into two or more portions, characterised in that the first portion is added to the dye bath while the jigger is stationary and in the meantime the dye bath is heated to the temperature range for optimum dyestuff absorption, and in that after actuation of the jigger the other portion or portions of dyestuff is (are) introduced into the dye bath linearly as a function of the amount of fabric which passes through the dye bath, wherein the number of passes of the amount of fabric through the dye bath corresponds to the number of portions of dyestuff and the dye bath has a temperature within the range for optimum dyestuff absorption.
