The subject of the invention is a stabiliser adaptor for a hypodermic needle. The base of the needle guard 23 comprises breaking lines 25 which are pre-cut out in order to form a stabiliser adaptor which alone remains in place whilst the other end of the needle guard 23, which forms the protective cover is disposed of. The invention applies to hypodermic needles.
