The method enables the glass fragments (11, 11') to be reliably secured by a simple manipulation as they are being processed. This purpose is served by a shielding mould (2) made from a hard PU foam, in which contour fields (3) are formed on which the glass fragments (11, 11') can be glued and then joined to one another by soldering. The glued joint can be undone by heating. Due to the contour lines impressed in the shielding mould (2), the contour fields (3) are always clearly visible and moreover the shielding mould (2) can be retained and repeatedly used. IMAGE
