Described is a cell line (KW strain IFO No. 50ll3) which is established from human uterine muscle. The cell line can be subcultivated l20 times or more and permits the production of a plasminogen activator on a commercial scale, and the plasminogen activator with high safety can be used to treat thrombosis and improve the antithrombotic properties of various medical materials such as artificial organs, artificial blood vessels, plasma exchange system, catheter, etc.
