A method of and apparatus for treatment to stop smoking comprising the steps of (a) applying a bioelectrical-­stimulator (16) to stimulate two pairs of target points on the body of a subject via surface electrodes (20), (b) applying laser (14) bilaterally to a first pair (37) of auricular points, (c) applying laser (14) bilaterally to a second pair (41) of auricular points, (d) applying laser (14) bilaterally to a third pair (52) of auricular points; (e) applying magnetic discs to the three pairs of auricular points; and (f) repeating steps (a)-(e) to effect gradual reduction of smoking until the point of total abstinence is reached.
