The slide plate (3) has a sliding insert (5) which is locked removably in a recess (8). The sliding insert (5) consists of a sheet- metal frame (7) with perforations, into which sliding elements (6) made of a self-lubricating material, for example a graphite bronze, are inserted with a firm fit. The sliding elements (6) project above the surface of the slide plate (3) and sheet-metal frame (7), so that the points part (1) displaceable to and fro simply rests on these. The sliding insert (5) is essentially maintenance-free and can be exchanged quickly by only a few hand actions. The slide plate (3) is suitable for points and crossings with a tongue rail or moveable crossing noses and is recommended especially for high-speed stretches. IMAGE
