To secure a dental prosthesis in the jaw of a patient, a metal screw is anchored in the jaw and secured with cement. On the top of the screw is a spherical head which is fitted to the screw head with a snap action. The bush has a relatively thick head with an inner sleeve enclosed by a thinner, resilient outer sleeve terminating in a shoulder at the bottom. Near the top of the head is a sloping sided groove, round the outside, giving a good retention in the prosthesis. ADVANTAGE - Easily fitted.
