The watercraft is fitted with flat members for retaining solar modules with solar cells. The flat members are arranged on vertical supports or masts by spaced horizontal supports. Additional horizontal supports with flat members are arranged over the hull sides and/or the bow, or the stern, or the front and rear boundaries of the watercraft. Pref. the additional horizontal supports are fitted with a swivel mechanism for slewing over the watercraft board. The pivot axes of the swivel mechanism may be fitted at a distance overboard and parallel to the board edge. The swivel mechanism may have a screw drive. The two rows of support or masts are fitted in the region of both hull sides of the watercraft.
