Insecticidal agent which is active against Phthorimaea operculella, characterised in that it consists of the baculovirus of nuclear polyhedrosis of the moth Mamestra brassicae. This agent is used in the destruction of Phthorimaea operculella which infests the leaves, tubers, fruits and/or flower buds of cultivated solanaceous crops.
