PURPOSE:To enlarge a ratio of displacement by a method wherein a contact point of an elastic member and a movable member is displaced to a large extent in the reverse direction to the displacing direction of a piezoelectric body by the deflection of the elastic member resulting from the displacement of the piezoelectric body. CONSTITUTION:A piezoelectric body 12 fixed to a base member 11 at one end thereof generates an upward strain in response to an applied drive voltage. An elastic member 13 is fixed to the base member 11 at one end thereof. A movable member 14 is fixed to the other end of the elastic member 13 at one end thereof, and a printing member 15 is fixed to the other end thereof. The other end of the piezoelectric body 12 is connected to the movable member 14 through a connecting member 16. Furthermore, a contact point A of the elastic member 13 and the base member 11 is set between a contact point B of the elastic member 13 and the movable member 14 and a contact point C of the movable member 14 and the connecting member 16 with respect to the direction vertical to the strain generating direction of the piezoelectric body 12. When the movable member 14 is subjected to the displacement of the piezoelectric body 12, the elastic member 13 is deflected, the movable member 14 is rotated, and printing is performed.
