METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TAPPING MOLTEN STEEL FROM FURNACE BOTTOM IN CLOSED TYPE METALLURGICAL FURNACE

PURPOSE:To facilitate separation of molten steel and slag and to prevent pickup of N2 gas during molten steel tapping by forming a projected part having communicating passage into a furnace body at side face of lower part in the furnace body and arranging a molten steel tapping hole as possible to open/shut at the projected part. CONSTITUTION:The projected part 3 is arranged at the side face of lower part in the furnace body 1 of the closed type metallurgical furnace. The communicating passage 4 communicated into the furnace body 1 is arranged at inner part of the projected part 3. The molten steel tapping hole 6 as selectively possible to open with a cylinder device, etc., is arranged at lower face of the projected part 3 and a checking hole 7 as selectively possible to open/shut is arranged at upper face of the projected part 3. By opening the molten steel tapping hole 6 at the time of tapping the molten steel, the molten steel tapping can be executed without almost tilting the furnace body 1. By opening the checking hole 7, the state of the molten steel 6 in the communicating passage 4 can be observed and sampling can be executed.
