METHOD FOR CONTROLLING DATA NAME INCLUDED IN SOFTWARE SPECIFICATIONS

PURPOSE:To prevent the correction omission and miscorrection by changing en bloc the same data names used in the software specifications and programs in an editing stage of the information on the software specifications. CONSTITUTION:A system consists of an editor 1a, an input data analyzing part 2a, an intra-data dictionary retrieving part 3a, a data dictionary 4a, a data name/identification information converting part 5a, an identification information storage part 6a, the software specifications 7a, a data name acquiring part 8a, a data name updating part 9a, and a change influence data name acquiring part 10a. The data names are stored in the dictionary 4a out of the software specification information, and the information which identifies well-definedly the data names is stored in the specifications 7a and a program. Then the data names stored in the dictionary 4a are changed and therefore the data names which are shared by many software specifications 7a and programs can be changed en bloc just with a single changing operation. Thus no miscorrection is produced.
