PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for specifying the effective spot for moxibustion and to allow temp. control and scarless moxibustion without generating smoke by erecting electrodes in a laying material for a scarless moxibustion treatment essentially consisting of 'miso' (bean paste) or the like added with far IR radiator powder and energizing the electrodes. CONSTITUTION:The electrodes 2 are constituted of plural electrode elements 2a fixed to a housing 4 and the respective electrode elements 2a disposed to a checker pattern are so connected that the polarities of the adjacent electrode elements 2a vary from each other. The projecting parts 20a of the electrode elements 2a are pierced into the laying material laid on the skin and are thereafter energized in case of using such electrode elements. The laying material is formed by adding alumna zirconia, silica, magnesia, etc., as the far IR radiator powder to the 'miso' (bean paste) or the like. Heat is generated in the laying material by resistance and far IR rays are radiated if the laying material is stuck onto the skin and is energized. The molecules in the aq. soln. of the soluble protein, sugars and salts in the 'miso' (bean paste) or the like are activated by the far IR rays and the 'miso' (bean paste) or the like is uniformly heated when the laying material is energized. The need for specifying the position of the effective spot for moxibustion is, therefore, not needed.
