PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition prevented from separation due to the specific gravity difference between high-specific gravity aggregate and cement paste by using iron oxide ore as coarse aggregate and iron sand as fine aggregate, and by adding ultrafine particulate granulated slag as an admixture. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition comprising (A) 70-90wt.% of aggregate (iron ore 5-60mm in granular size as coarse aggregate and iron sand =5mm in size as fine aggregate), (B) 8-30wt.% of cement paste (water/cement ratio=0.25-0.7) and (C) 0.1-3wt.% of ultrafine particulate granulated slag said slag/ cement ratio=0.01-1.0). Additional incorporation of carbon fiber in this composition will adequately prevent sedimentation separation due to the specific gravity difference, thereby obtaining uniform, high-strength heavyweight concrete. Said carbon fiber is pref. ca.1-10mm in fiber length, 0.05-1wt.% in the amount to be added and 1.0-10% in said fiber/cement ratio. Furthermore, it is preferable that said slag and carbon fiber total =4wt.% in the weight proportion.
