CARRIER SUBSTRATE FOR LINEAR POTENTIAL DIFFERENCE METER AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE: To allow a markedly improved current to be fed back to a contact connection region from a remote side of a line an potentiometer by a constitution wherein a collector passage, one or more resistance passage if required and at least one twist cable type copper wire are embedded in a carrier substrate in a longitudinal direction. CONSTITUTION: A carrier substrate 10 includes two regions 14, 15 in its longitudinal direction for disposing a collector passage and a resistance passage in parallel thereto. A conductive plastic layer for the collector passage is provided to an upper half of a surface of the substrate 10. The conductive plastic layer at the collector passage is supported by a silver plated twist cable type copper wire 12. Silver plated twist cable type copper wires 12, 12a which are electrically conductive and partially low ohmic are embedded, thereby enabling the designing of a potentiometer capable of dispensing with any wire or cable at least at a region to which the substrate is connected.
