When fitting roof wells on flat roofs the wells are set before laying the roof covering material, which is then subsequently laid and joined tightly to the upper plate parts of the roof wells. It has proved difficult in this skilled work to achieve a stable connection to steel plate pates, for which reason lead plates have been preferred. These are expensive, however, and undesirable for environmental reasons. In the case of the invention, the plate part is divided up into a bottom carrier plate 4, which may well be of steel, and an upper fitting plate 6, which is composed of the same roof covering material as that also used for covering the roof, and which can be tightly and solidly joined to the other parts of the roof well on an industrial basis, for example by using a clamping flanged sleeve socket 8, 10 secured by spot- welds 12 to the spouting pipe 2. Various optimum means of fixing can thereby be chosen for different types of roof covering materials, and when fitting on the roof an optimum connection will automatically be achieved solely by reason of the skilled labour used in laying the roof covering material.
