Intravaginal treatment is applied on female animals before, during or following pregnancy. For this purpose specific antigens or antigen complexes are introduced once or repeatedly. Treated animals develop systematic immuno-responses chiefly on mucous membranes giving specific protection both to mother animals and offsprings against induced viruses, bacteria or other infective agents.
