SPECIFIC WEIGHT SWITCHING VESSEL FOR AUTOMATIC SEPARATING LIQUIDS OF DIFFERENT SPECIFIC WEIGHT FLOWING IN TUBING

Liquids flowing in pipelines, with different densities are separated by the proposed equipment which is in the form of a vertical cylindrical vessel (a) with conical top and bottom portions. The conical top is fitted with a plastic extension. A magnetically operated pneumatic signal generator (h) is located outside this extension. The liq. inlet pipe (b) is connected to the central cylindrical portion of the vessel (a). The heavier liquid discharge pipe (c) is connected to the lower conical portion of the vessel. The lighter liquid discharge pipe (d) is connected to a float (e) is located within the housing, having the same geometry as the housing. The top of the float is fitted with a permanent magnet. A pneumatic rotary actuator is (f) fixed to the housing. This actuator is connected to both the light liquid discharge valve (k) and the heavy liquid discharge valve (l) by a rigid axle (m) and coupling. - A pneumatic amplifier (g) is used between the pneumatic signal source (h) and the actuator cylinder (j).
