Hose-welding system to plastic bag - uses die bore with widening cone end accommodating hose end

A hose is welded to a bag of plastic sheet, particularly as used for transfusions, fluid collection etc., by generating a high-frequency field between a die and a pin inserted in the hose, against which the sheet bears. The hose end is inserted in the bore of a die with a widening truncated-cone end. A pin with a truncated-cone thickened end and a sharp point at the other end is pushed using the latter through the sheet used for forming the bag, deflecting the hole edges round its cone face. It is then inserted in the hose end supported in the die bore, widening its portion elastically inside the widened part of the bore, bringing the hole edge in the sheet inside the hose, the latter and the hole edge being clamped between the cone faces of die and pin. The high-frequency field is then generated between pin and die, the pin being then withdrawn and the hose end extracted from the die. The sheet is then welded to others to the bag.
