TREATMENT AND DIAGNOSIS OF FOOTROT USING THE BASIC PROTEASE OF $i(B. NODOSUS)

A vaccine for use in the protection against, or treatment of, the fork, comprising an effective immunological amount of the basic serine protease B. nodosus as an active ingredient. The active ingredient may comprise a synthetic polypeptide indicating the antigenic ability of the basic serine protease, produced by recombinant DNA technology. Tests for diagnosis of the fork, using basic serine protease and / or antibodies raised against basic serine protease are also presented.
