Flexible fiber bundle for the transmission of high-power radiation, especially laser-radiation

A description is given of a fibre bundle for the transmission of high power radiation, especially from power lasers, in which the radiation can be transmitted with minimal expenditure on equipment without substantial impairment of the beam quality (of the radiation product). Formulae are given for the computation of the thickness of the fibre bundle, of the numerical aperture and of the core and sheath thickness of the individual fibres.
