Flexible fiber bundle for the transmission of high-power radiation, especially laser-radiation

It is a fiber bundle for the transmission of radiation of high power, in particular of power lasers described in which the radiation with minimal use of material without substantial degradation of the beam quality (product of the beam) can be transmitted. Formulas for calculating the thickness of the fiber bundle, the numerical aperture as well as the core and shell thickness of the individual fibers are specified.
