Apparatus for the fertilisation of a cultivation of row crops

For cultivations of row crops, tractor-drawn seed drills having a plurality of discharge members arranged transversely to the direction of travel at the spacing of the rows are used, the tractor track serving as a travelling corridor for subsequent cultivation operations, such as fertilisation. An apparatus for the distribution of fertiliser in such a cultivation of row crops consists of a tractor and of a spreader received or drawn by the latter and having a fertiliser container and a plurality of spreading members which are arranged transversely to the direction of travel at an approximately equal spacing and which spread out between the plant rows the fertiliser fed to them from the container in a respective metered quantity. In order to use the travelling corridors made available by the sowing for fertilisation and to allow satisfactory subsequent travelling during fertilisation, with n discharge members on the seed drill the spreader has (a . n + 1) spreading members, a being a whole number. Furthermore, a fertiliser quantity m is fed to the two outermost spreading members and the fertiliser quantity 2m is fed to all the spreading members located between them.
