New 3-(2-amino-4-halo- or 2,4-diamino -s-triazin-6-yl-amino)-10-amino- tripheno-dioxazine cpds. (I) contg. at least one SO3H gp. and their salts and mixts are claimed. (I) are of the formula: R = H or 1-6C alkyl, opt. mono-substd. by halogen, CN, OH, 1-4C alkoxy, -COOH, -SO3H or -OSO3H; R1 = H, halogen, 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy or -COOH; T1 and T2 = H; Cl; Br; a 1-4C alkyl or alkoxy gp., opt. mono-substd. by Cl, MeO, EtO or -OSO3H; or a phenyl or phenoxy gp. opt. mono- or disubstd. by Cl, Br, Me, Et, MeO or EtO; Y1 = 2-6C alkylene; 3-6C mono- or dihydroxyalkylene; 3-6C alkylene with -O-, -S- or -NR- in the chain; cyclohexylene with 0-3 Me substits.; or a gp. of the given formulae (asterisk = C atom attached to amino gp.) (i), (ii), (iii) or IIA-IIE; Z = (iv); X = halogen or (substd.) amino; Y2 = opt. substd. divalent (cyclo)aliphatic, aromatic or aliphatic-aromatic gp., in which the aliphatic gps. may contain -O-, -S-, or -NR- in the chain; or -NR-Y2-NR-= (IIA), (IIB) or (IIC); Q = a chromophoric gp. of the azo, formazen, anthraquinone, phthalocyanine or dioxazine dyestuff series; m, n, q and t independently = 0 or 1; and p = 0, 1 or 2. The prepn. of (I) is also claimed. USE/ADVANTAGE - (I) in the form of water-soluble salts or liquid aq. prepns. are claimed for dyeing or printing organic substrate contg. OH gps. or N, pref. textiles, esp. cotton or paper. They are also useful in inks. (I) have good solubility, esp. in cold water, good substantivity and good fastness to light and various aq. liquids.
