The insole (15) for supporting a patient's foot in a shoe, has the upper surface (23) in contact with the foot, and the undersurface (21) in contact with the inner surface of the sole of the shoe. The insole is of orthopaedic form and is made in one piece. The upper surface of the insole is provided with a number of parallel ridges which prevent the foot slipping relative to the insole. The undersurface of the insole has similar ridges to prevent the insole slipping relative to the sole of the shoe. -
