In an internal combustion engine, the cylinder block 2 is closed at its lower part by a sump 3 which contains lubrication oil, which oil is sucked up by a pump 4 by means of a suction scoop 9 which is made integrally with the sump. Under the effect of the assembly operation, this scoop is automatically connected, with a fluid-tight seal, to the intake pipe 12 of the pump, with interposition of a gasket 21. IMAGE
