This process consists in subjecting the apparatuses to be treated, after emptying and draining, to a continuous extraction using a solvent used alternately in the vapour phase and in the liquid phase which are maintained at a constant temperature. The device essentially consists of a leakproof treatment chamber 2 equipped with means 5 for supplying with liquid solvent and means 7 for supplying with solvent vapour, which are connected to means for heating and cooling arranged outside the treatment chamber and provided to ensure that the solvent vapours and the liquid solvent are maintained at constant temperature during their introduction into the chamber.
